“People Who Died” Nominated for OUTMusic Award

The LGBT Academy of Recording Arts has bestowed me the honor of being nominated for a 2010 OutMusic Award for Outstanding Rock Song for my version of the Jim Carroll classic “People who Died”. This took my breath away. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed last year when I didn’t receive a nomination so when it happened this year I was so thrilled.
I want to thank my long-time collaborator and lead guitar player, Steve Dawson who co-porduced this track with me. We really hoped we pleased Jim’s fans and especially Jim… He is a true inspiration for me. My thanks to the LGBT community. Hell YEAH, we can ROCK too!!!!
